HERSHEY BAR CAKE

This Hershey Bar Cake is a chocolate lovers dream! Layers of German chocolate with cream cheese frosting and chocolate ganache topped with chunks of Hershey bar.

HERSHEY BAR CAKE

INGREDIENTS
CAKE LAYERS INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 boxes of German Chocolate
  2. 2 3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding mix
  3. 6 large eggs
  4. 1 C canola oil
  5. 2 1/2 C water

FROSTING INGREDIENTS

  1. 16 oz cream cheese softened
  2. 24 oz cool whip
  3. 2 C sugar
  4. 2 C powdered sugar
  5. 2 C pecan chips
  6. 2 Large Hershey chocolate bars

CHOCOLATE GANACHE INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 C semi sweet chocolate chips
  2. 1/2 C heavy whipping cream

CHOCOLATE FROSTING INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter
  2. 1/2 C cocoa powder
  3. 1 1/2 C powdered sugar
  4. 1 tsp vanilla
  5. 3-5 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  6. 1 piping bag fitted with a star tip
  7. 6 mini hershey chocolate bars
  8. 1 container of chocolate sprinkles

TOOLS

  1. 2 9 inch springform pans or cake pans
  2. cheese grater
  3. cake slicer
  4. 10 in cake board

INSTRUCTIONS
CAKE DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two 9 inch springform pans with parchment paper and spray with pam baking spray
  • Using a standing mixer, combine the cake mix, vanilla pudding, eggs, canola oil, and water and mix until combined
  • Divide batter between the two springform pans and bake in the oven for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean in the center
  • Once baked, allow the cakes to cool completely on a wire rack
